This may not be popular but I’m going to say it anyway (after all I’ve never been concerned with being popular). Americans are stupid. That is a statement that I will stand by with every fiber of my being. Not only do we, as a whole, not know about politics and world issues that way that a lot of citizens in other countries do. But we are also some of the most easily influensed people. We are easily controlled by key words and scare tactics. I’ve become so disheartened with the quality of our citizens and our intelligence. It’s time we educate ourselves about world politics and the role the United States plays in it. Let’s move from the age of ignorance and naivety and towards a nation of knowledgeable people that won’t allow themselves to be taken advantage of.
