Thanksgiving Is Murder On Turkeys
Make sure that when planning your Thanksgiving dinner this year you think of the life that is most affected, the Turkey. This country (The United States) slaughters around 300 million turkeys a year and about 46 million of those are for this time of year. Turkeys are amongst the most tortured animals raised for food. They live their lives crammed into crowded cages only to be transported in extreme temperatures with no protection from the elements. You can save some of these wonderful animals by cutting out their flesh from your holiday plans. Try alternatives like Tofurky instead of traditional meat based meals. Turn this Thanksgiving into a time that every living being on this earth can be thankful, thankful to be alive.

Or you could raise your own turkey every year and provide it with a good, healthy life until such time as it fulfills its purpose.
Well I would, but tofu is not my thing. No hate though.

I’m vegetarian, so I can repeat the following jokes. I read in the Onion Anthology, “Our Dumb Century”, a list of meatless alternatives for the holidays. Some of the ones I remember are:
Soystrami
Tof@*k Yourself
I can’t believe it’s not a dead animal
Rocky Mountain Soysters
